Pick-A-Time Conference Sign Up

The online Pick-A-Time Conference Sign Up for the November 20th & 21st conferences opens tomorrow, Monday, October 16, 2017, at 7:00 AM. Please see the attached directions for additional information. Also, please feel free to contact the school office with questions and/or for sign up support.

FEARson's PTO Boo Bash 2017

Saturday, October 21, 2017 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Admission is FREE!

What is FEARson’s Boo Bash 2017? 

A fantastic DJ, great food, outrageous games, a fun photo booth, an amazing costume contest, a chilling haunted hall, tricky escape rooms, and much, much more! 

Food, Snacks, & Beverages - Pre-Ordering is Strongly Suggested

Pre-Order slices of pizza and drinks for $4. At the event, a limited number of extra pizza slices will be available to purchase for $5 (10 tickets) and water or pop for $1 (2 tickets). Concession snacks will also be available for (2 tickets).

Baked Goods (2 tickets) 

We need LOTS of baked goodies – Bake sale items (i.e. cookies, brownies, & sweet treats) must be individually wrapped and ready to sell. Cakes for the cake walk can be small and festively decorated. Baked goods can be store bought or homemade. Please label any items that are gluten free. Plan to drop off baked goods in the Community Room on Friday, October 20th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Games (1-2 tickets) 

Tickets are needed for all games, such as Wheel of Wow, Skee Ball, Pumpkin Bowling, and Golf.

Photo Booth (4 tickets per printout) 

Back by popular demand! Make sure not to miss out on a photo op with family and friends. Thank you to the Franks Family for donating the photo booth!

Annual Costume Contest 6:30 PM (FREE) 

Show your Halloween spirit by dressing in full costume for a chance to win the scariest, funniest, or most creative costume for your grade level. In addition, there will be grade level judging based on overall creativity. There is no cost to participate.

Haunted Hall – FEARson’s Haunted Forest and Graveyard (6 tickets)

The fifth grade hall will be transformed into a haunted forest and graveyard with spine-chilling creatures lurking around each corner. Enter… if you DARE!If you have life sized, scary props or items that can help transform our hall into a haunted forest, please contact Shannon Puri via email at shannonpuri@hotmail.com or phone at (630) 209-9908.

Sign up to build the forest or to be a creature in the hall at http://tinyurl.com/BooBashVolunteers. Cast members must be dressed in character specified by the Haunted Hall Committee - no exceptions!

Escape Rooms ($10.00) 


Sign up for a 20 minute problem solving adventure. Themes include Sailboats (Grades K-2), Kings (Grades K-2), Egypt (Grades 3-5), and Marines (Grades 3-5). 

Reservations must be made for specific time slots on http://tinyurl.com/BooBashEscapeRoom, and a payment must be submitted to secure a spot. 

Spaces are limited and on a first come, first served basis.

We encourage families to bring in uncut, decorated pumpkins to help adorn Boo Bash. Bring your pumpkin to the school lobby on Friday, October 20 from 3-5 pm. Your pumpkin will be used as a special decoration somewhere in Boo Bash. Come find it! (All pumpkins need to be brought home by the end of Boo Bash or they will be discarded.)

Pre-Order Form & Payments

To expedite the fun on Saturday, October 21st, please complete and return your family’s Pre-Order Form (see attached) which was sent home last week, no later than Tuesday, October 17th along with your payment. Tickets for food, games, the photo booth, the haunted hall, and more can be purchased in advance using the form.

A group of 5th grade Ferson Creek students who refer to themselves as the Positive Puppies are out to prove that even the smallest acts of love can make a BIG difference in the lives of those who need help.

Every night in the United States an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets, and the Positive Puppies want to team with you to do something awesome to support these individuals!

The Positive Puppies are collecting New Socks, in original packages through Friday, October 27th to be donated to a local homeless shelter at the end of the month. All sizes (men, women & children), shapes, and colors are needed.

All socks can be placed in the Socktober bin just outside the office. 

Art Volunteers in the Classroom (AVIC)

Please sign up​ via the included link​ to join our K-5, grade-level Art Volunteer in the Classroom (AVIC) teams this year! We are looking for 6-8 volunteers per grade-level, K-5 to team up to plan and implement simple, hands-on art experiences centered around one of the showcased pieces of art throughout the school.

Our first grade-level art experiences will take place on Wednesday, November 1st in AM kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade and on Friday, November 3rd in All Day & PM kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. The students from the grade-level will come together with their AVIC volunteers and an additional adult in the Community Room to engage in learning and fun centered around a showcased piece of art. 


Contact Lisa Sommer, Art Volunteer in the Classroom (AVIC) Lead with any questions and plan to attend our first AVIC planning meeting on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 9:00 AM, in the staff lounge. At the meeting you will have a chance to begin planning for your first grade-level art experience with your team​.

October 31st - Costume Parade 

You are welcome to view our all-school costume parade on Tuesday, October 31st, on the blacktop area behind the school, at 1:30 PM. Immediately following the parade, students, staff, and previously identified room party volunteers will transition to their classroom celebrations which will take place from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM. 

*In the event of rain, we will hold the costume parade in the gym. 

October 31st - Classroom Celebrations 

Volunteers should plan to sign in and have their license scanned in the main office, just prior to the start of the classroom celebrations. Our celebrations are scheduled as follows:

  • AM Kindergarten - 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM
  • AM Pre-K/EC - 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM
  • PM Pre-K/EC, PM Kindergarten, All Day Kindergarten, & 1st-5th - 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM

DirectorySpot - Online PTO Directory

​The PTO ​has launched DirectorySpot, our free​,​ online and mobile app directory for Ferson Creek families for the 2017-2018 school year. Please read the included instructions A) ​to ​update and share information that was entered last year, B) to ​be added to the directory, or ​C) to opt out of the directory.

A) If you were a Ferson family last year and opted to share your information in the directory, then your sign in information is the same as last year's. All family data is currently hidden until a parent logs in and verifies the data, makes any necessary changes, and then clicks the button to "share data." (This process CANNOT be done through the app.)

1.       Log in to DirectorySpot on the web version.

​ ​Go to www.directoryspot.net and click Log in in the upper right.

2.       Enter your email as the username and your DirectorySpotpassword.

3.       You should be directed to your family record. If not, go to Directory/Family Search. Find your own record and double click to get the edit screens. You can review the data, make and edits or deletions and click "save." Once finished, click "save." Then to make your record available for others in your directory to see, click the green "Share Data" button.

All data is either hidden or shared.

B) If your family was not included in the directory last year and you would like to be added, please click here to provide any information that you would like included in the directory then click submit at the bottom of the form.


C) If you wish NOT to be included in the directory, please use this link to opt out and then click submit at the bottom of the form.


Box Tops & Labels for Education Collection

Collecting Box Tops and Labels for Education helps generate funds for Ferson Creek to purchase items such as art, athletic and academic supplies.
