Yearbook orders can be placed online via the included link -- https://inter-state.com/Yearbook or via the paper order forms that were sent home in January through tomorrow, Friday, February 17, 2017. Our Ferson Creek online order code is 12577J.
President's Day - No School
As a reminder, Monday, February 20, 2017, is a non-attendance day.
Returning to School After an Illness or Injury
Please take a minute to review the included information as outlined on pages 11 & 12 in the elementary school handbook:
Extended absences of five or more days may require the student to present a healthcare provider statement of re-admittance to the school nurse.
Any student returning to school with a cast, crutches or other debilitating injury or illness requiring an activity restriction must report to the school nurse.
If a child has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, he/she should remain out of school and school related activities for 24 hours after the temperature has returned to normal without the use of fever reducing medication.
Students taking antibiotics for a communicable disease should remain home for 24 hours after the initial dose before returning to school. In addition, students may be asked to present a healthcare provider statement for re-admittance for communicable diseases.
Ferson Fights with Jimmy - St. Baldrick's Event
This year, Ferson Creek Elementary School is joining eleven other elementary & middle schools in District 303 in the St. Charles Challenge, a community-wide, St. Baldrick's Foundation event on Friday, March 10th, at Haines Middle School. St. Baldrick’s is a nonprofit solely dedicated to funding childhood cancer research.
Students, staff, & families from Ferson Creek are invited to participate in and support the St. Charles Challenge head shaving event on March 10th in support of Jimmy, a current 1st grade, Ferson Creek Fox who is fighting childhood cancer.

Breakfast Bar & Juice Box Drive
Ferson Creek is teaming with the St. Charles Mothers’ Club to collect nutritious breakfast bars and/or juice boxes in an effort to help any District 303 students who are unable to have breakfast before coming to school. If you are willing and able to support our efforts, please bring your donations of whole grain, breakfast bars without chocolate or candy and/or 100% juice boxes to the collection bin near the front entrance no later than Friday, February 24, 2017.
